The Phelan Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is a eleven-member volunteer board made up of community business owners, organization leaders and individuals. They provide guidance and counsel at the highest level towards achieving the mission of the Phelan Chamber of Commerce.
Charissa Porcu has been a business owner for 24 years and is an Owner and CFO of PRIMARY CABLEWORKS, INC., a low-voltage electrical contractor serving all of California. For the past 12 years, she has been Owner/Manager of High Desert Gymnastics Center in Pinon Hills, a USAG training facility serving the tri-community and the high desert of San Bernardino County. In 2011, she became the Executive Director of Soaring High Academy, a 501(c)(3) which serves the needs of low-income and at-risk youth to provide healthy activities in a safe environment.
She has served for several years as Director, and currently as Vice President of the Phelan Chamber of Commerce. She believes strongly in a healthy business climate in Phelan and making our town a safe environment and place to raise families. She is committed to the safety and growth of our community. Besides serving on the Board of Directors for Phelan Chamber of Commerce, she also is a member of Healthy Snowline/Snowline Community Cabinet and a member of the Academy for Grassroots Organizations.
Charissa moved to the high desert in 2004 with her husband and children, coming from "down the hill" and wanting to finish raising her children in a safer community. She enjoys desert life, working, serving others, and spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
The mission of the Phelan Chamber of Commerce is to advocate economic progress and quality of life in the Phelan community and to cultivate a climate in which our rural lifestyle, commerce, industry, agriculture, and education will flourish.
